When you jailbreak the iPhone 4 or 3GS , you unlock its full potential. Only then you are able to have freedom of choice of what you can install on your iPhone. Apple has restricted its device usage to only authorized apps, which severely limits its capabilities . Jailbreaking lets you break free and have the additional tweaks and use of apps not allowed by Apple.
Jailbreaking is the process which allows iDevices like iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch to run third-party unsigned code by unlocking the operating system (iOS4 in this case ) and allowing the user root access. This may sound geeky and too unfamiliar if you are a first time iPhone user . Jailbreaking is a term commonly used among iPhone users worldwide with an estimated 1 out of 10 iPhone’s is already jailbroken .
Unlocking Iphone 4 :
Benefits of Jailbreaking Iphone 4 :
- Wi Fi HotSpot – Using the iPhone as a Wi-Fi hotspot is the number one reason to jailbreak the iPhone 4 . The app you will require is My Wi
- Install Cydia – Cydia is like the App Store, it’s lets you install applications right to your iPhone or iPod Touch without a computer
- Do more with Face Time – Well i know what you plan to do with FaceTime , but this jailbreak app My3G lets you use this feature which is otherwise only available in WiFi.
- Unlock Iphone 4 – Carrier unlock your device .
- Block Unwanted Communication using iBlackList app (paid app).
Apart the above mentioned , there are innumerable changes that can be done on a jailbroken iPhone. I tried to summarize the reasons why we jailbreak .
What is Jailbreaking ?
Jailbreaking is the process that gives the user read/write access to otherwise locked OS files on their iDevice [iphone , ipod touch , ipad]. After jailbreaking a device , the user can get access to the root level of an iPhone or iPod Touch 4 which then allows them to run custom codes for installing new applications , like unlockers.
Benefits of Jailbreaking :
After you jailbreak iphone 4 , you can install any application installer like Cydia [very popular among jailbreakers]. Cydia comes with tons of apps like MyWi which lets your iPhone to convert into a WiFi host spot or My3g which can let you use face-time on 3G network instead of WiFi . A jailbroken iphone can be unlocked to access different carriers .
Is Jailbreaking Legal ?
Federal regulators announced last month [July 26th 2010] that it was lawful to hack or jailbreak an iPhone . However Apple is against it and has recently applied for a patent to remotely disable iphone's.
You said carrier unlock . What is that ?
Many mobile phone manufacturers software code their cellular device to work only with a certain operator . Such phones are called carrier locked. The process of unlocking iphone 4 will then allow you to use SIM cards of any operator of your wish . Iphone’s in the United States come carrier locked to AT&T which has the exclusive rights for iphone’s at the moment .

Whether you’re a developer with a great app idea, a business with an interesting location marketing plan or just a regular Facebook user who wants to get involved with Places, there are a few details to note before you start using Places. The feature is fascinating, but it still has its limitations. And our guide isn’t without caveats, especially for users. If you’re ready to start playing, here’s what you’ll need to know about Places.
First of all, you or a Facebook friend in your group will need a smartphone. If you don’t have an iPhone, you’ll have to use the Facebook touch mobile site on a browser that supports both HTML 5 and geolocation. The company does plan to roll out Android and BlackBerry versions of Places, but they haven’t released any specific dates for those releases yet.To use Places, go to the Places tab on the iPhone application or touch.facebook.com. You’ll first be asked if Facebook is allowed to know your location. Once you click “allow,” you’ll enter the Places interface. From there, you can share your location with friends, find out where your friends are (if they’re using Places), and discover new places near you.You can add places, check in to places that already exist, and tag people who are with you. If you’re checking in for a group, make sure you tag your friends before you checkin, yourself. For example, I added my house and checked in there...

Sharing and sending large files over the internet is typically a pain in the neck. Largely due to the fact that most file storage limits are 50Mb to 100Mb, or 200Mb for paid services such as rapidshare.
A new service from WeTransfer is a user friendly and free file transfer service that allows up to 2Gb to be shared, with up to 20 people, for up to 2 weeks. Beat that!
Common file sharing services typically are difficult to navigate, they almost always have annoying end user download wait time. WeTransfer has none of this nonsense. You can select as many files as you want to send at one time (under 2GB) and you can send an email notice up to 20 recipients with a note attached. Best yet, your files are held for 14 days before deletion.
WeTransfer makes waiting less boring by rotating the background wallpaper of the site while you are uploading. It boasts a nice friendly to use - and look at - interface, 14 day file retention, 20 users per email notification, and up to 2Gb storage. Impressive!

After taking the picture, i walk to the other side, which is the next road there got people selling some snacks. I’m not sure how long the display will be there, do go and check them out. Its really a heaven for photographers.
